Wow! I really can't tell you how fast time flies by in Media! It feels like just last week we started Second Quarter!! Anyways, another quarter of Media has gone by and now our Second Quarter Project is done. One goal that I accomplished this quarter was getting our project turned in on time.  It was definitely easier this quarter, because I knew how things went and what was expected. I just really can't wait to get our grade back! I'm SOO nervous. I really hope we didn't make any of the mistakes that we made in First Quarter, because if we did, well, I'd just be so... disappointed! Over this break, I'm going to thing of PSA ideas and write the radio scripts, so I'll be prepared for when I come back from the break next year. Well, have a merry, merry Christmas and I'll see you (or should it be write to you?) next year!

Ahhhh! There are so many deadlines coming up, it's crazy!!! First off, we have our Second Quarter Media Project due, which frankly, I'm not to worried about (which is a good thing!) but then, on top of that, our 5 by 5 project is due, and on top of that, radios are due!! Jeez, I just hate when so many things are due all at once! I really need to work on planning ahead and also working on things ahead of time so that way, the deadlines don't just sneak up you and then you don't have to rush. But I think that if Sierra and I work really, really, REALLY hard, we'll be able to accomplish these tasks.

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I am soooo happy right now!!!!! Can you guess why? Well, the reason why I'm so happy is that I just found out we have an extended deadline on our Media Project!!! Instead of being due on Monday, which just so happens to be tomorrow, the project will be due on Wednesday! I am so grateful for this extra time, because it will give us time to make our video even better. What I mean is now we'll have time to finish adding everything to the video AND have time to polish it, and as Mr. M say, change it from good to great! So I think with these few extra days, our project will turn out great!

For example, by adding the few finishing touches, I think our project will turn out good. This includes adding b-roll, re-checking the sound, and just making sure our video flows. I'm glad we have the extended deadline, because that way we'll really have time to make sure everything is in order, and also have time to fix anything. I want to show Mr. M our video before we turn it in, do that way he'll tell us what we need to fix before he grades it. Anyways, we're on track (especially with the extended deadline) and we'll be able to add some great finishing touches.

Another I think our project will turn out great is because we have learned from our mistakes last quarter and did not repeat them this quarter. For example, after getting the pros and cons list back about our video last quarter, this quarter, we really tried to take note and not repeat the same mistakes. After all, it doesn't make sense that you say you learned from your mistakes if you just keep on making the same mistake agsin, now does it?

Finally, I think our project is good because we got an A on our script. Having a good script is VERY important for having a good video, because it tells what you're going to hear and see in the video. The only slight problem we may have is that we kinda had to revise the script, because our video turned out to be like 5 minutes long with our first script. However. I think that the shortened version of our video is still really good.

In conclusion, I think that we're on a really good track and our video will turn out great. By adding the few finishing touches, learning from our first quarter mistakes, and having a good script, I'm sure that we'll have a quality video. If one thing is for sure, I know that we're definitely making better progress than our last quarter video, and I think that we'll have a good video!

Just a few hours ago, my mom and I finished helping with the Annual CKTV Breakfast. I think that it went really well, and I'm really happy that so many people showed up! It was really well organized, complete with a bake sale, raffle, bingo, breakfast, and more. I'm glad that everything went smoothly, and I hope that we were able to get a large profit from the event. I think that everyone enjoyed the event, and I did too! Hopefully our next fundraiser will go this well!

Hey guys! This weeks topic was to write about how, as a new student to the CKTV Media Productions class, I feel about being on my own for my Third Quarter Project, and how I feel my partner has done teaching me what to do. My answer to all that is: Yes, I do feel prepared and ready for my Third Quarter Project, and I do think my partner has done a good job teaching me the ropes about Media!

One reason why I feel ready and prepared for Third Quarter is because of my partner.  I think Sierra has done a very good job teaching me anything I want to know about Media, whether it has to do with editing, or getting b-roll, or tips about getting good shots, and even going above that by teaching me things without me even having to ask. I really like how when have a question, she makes it a priority and teaches me right then and there instead of just saying "Oh, I'll teach you later". Anyways, I really appreciate all the effort my partner has put in to teaching me, so thanks Sierra!

Another reason why I feel ready and prepared is because of the Media Camp I attended this past summer. I can't tell you how glad I am that I went to the Summer Media Camp, because I think that's another huge factor that helped me in Media. One thing I really liked about the Media Camp was that everyone got to critique your videos. Sure, it was a little nerve wracking to see your video being watched and judged by other people, but really, that's the whole goal of making videos in Media: so other people can watch and enjoy them. But back to the point, I thought that getting feedback ( whether positive or negative) was just super helpful, and I'm really glad that I got to be part of the summer Media Workshop because it really helped prepare me for Media, and even a little for Third Quarter.

Lastly, I think I'm prepared for Third Quarter because I've really tried my hardest to learn as much as I can. Whenever someone gave me advice, I really tried to listen ad follow what they said. I also tried to be a quick learner. Hopefully, for Third Quarter, I can take all that I've learned and put it all together to make a really great video.

In conclusion, I think that I am ready and prepared for Third Quarter. With my partners help, along with the Media Camp in the summer, my peers, and Mr. M's help, I'm sure I am ready. I'm excited to make my Third Quarter Project, and before you know it, I'll be blogging about it and keeping you posted about how it's coming along!
